Principal - William P. (Bill) Dowling - PGA Life Member


Bill DowlingMr. Dowling is one of the most highly regarded professionals in the golf industry. He was a partner in and served as Executive Vice-President of Golf Operations for Crenshaw Golf overseeing all facets of club operations. Mr. Dowling has also served as a General Manager Prior to that he was Director of Golf at the flagship property for Club Corp, Brookhaven Country Club, a 54-hole complex with more than 2000 golfing members. From 1992 until 1998, he served as Regional Golf Operations Advisor for Club Corp for 23 clubs located in the Central and Southwest geographic regions of the country. He has a unique understanding of how to manage, service to customers, and in using assets of the club to generate additional revenues through outside programs. He has hired over a dozen PGA Head Professionals/ General Managers. Mr. Dowling has a great understanding of the Food & Beverage facet of club operations having overseen sizes varying from $100k to $3m annually. Mr. Dowling also has extensive knowledge and background in the marketing of memberships. He has served as a member of the PGA Board of Directors for the Southern Texas PGA Section of the PGA of America.

In addition to his vast training and experience in the shop operations area, he has been a significant contributor to improvement programs such as automated tee time programs, construction and remodeling of golf shops, selection of point of sale soft-ware, and served on the Preferred Vendor and Purchasing Council for Club Corp. Mr. Dowling has also served as Chairman of the Children’s Medical Chip Moody Classic, an auction party and golf tournament that raises over $250k annually benefiting Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Senior Advisor - Jerry Diamond


Mr. Diamond is the considered one of the best operations people in the golf industry. He was most recently General Manager of Dallas National Golf Club, one of the country’s premier private clubs. Mr. Diamond is now a member of and Senior advisor to Dallas National.

Prior to serving at Dallas National, Mr. Diamond was Executive Vice President of Operations for Crenshaw Golf and a General Manager for ClubCorp. He served as full time Manager at Stonebriar, and Mr. Diamond was also the Tournament Director of the Associate Club Championships, the largest and the most prestigious amateur event held for country club members. Mr. Diamond was one of the creators of the Preferred Vendor program for ClubCorp. Mr. Diamond worked with Mr. Dowling in the establishment of relationships within the Preferred Vendor Program which saved ClubCorp more than $2 million annually. He served as Manager at numerous ClubCorp clubs throughout his 18-year career at ClubCorp, and has also served as Regional Manager and Director of Golf Operations. While under his direction, Stonebriar Country Club earned the distinction as the Club of the Year, and his operations were traditionally among the highest producing in revenue and profit, while also winning awards as being among the top five per cent rated clubs in member satisfaction. He earned numerous awards from ClubCorp at both the club level as well as a corporate operator. He has experience as a golf professional and has extensive experience in all areas of operations both inside the club and in field operations.

He is well known and respected in the golf industry for his ability and service to the industry. His 35+ years in the industry provides him extensive contacts and relationships within the apparel and equipment manufacturing areas. Mr. Diamond is a graduate of Illinois State University where he played on the ISU golf team.

 

Senior Advisor - Robert (Bob) Johnson


Bob has over 35 years of golf and country club industry experience, including 14 years as President/COO of ClubCorp’s domestic and/or international operations. His expertise includes strategic planning, membership, dining, and establishing operational metrics.

Career highlights include leading nearly 70 acquisitions as part of a ClubCorp growth strategy that doubled revenue to $800 million and tripled net cash flow to $75 million. Throughout his career, Bob has effectively balanced people, resources, revenue enhancement and expense controls as a club leader. Mr. Johnson is a distinguished alumnus of Michigan State University and was honored as an inductee of its first Hall Of Fame class in 1995. He has been a member of The Society of International Business Fellows and has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee’s of Club Corp International and the National Golf Foundation.
